What is Silk Squash?

I recently came across an interesting recipe for Silk Squash but I wasnt sure if that was the name of the dish or a variety of squash. Does anyone know or is anybody familiar with silk squash?

Chinese okra = silk squash = silk melon = Taiwanese okra   Notes:  There can either have a smooth surface or one with deep ridges.  The ridged version is sometimes called angled luffa = angled loofa = angled loofah.    Substitutes: zucchini

My husband is Indian, this vegetable is common in India.  He calls it ridge gourd in English.  My mother in law makes a great chutney out of the peels!
