What is Slope?(in math term)?

what is slope? I'mm a 8th grader in a advance math, and i don't want to get an A below if i get a B on the test, im going to kill myself, thats how i am, so just please just expain to me what exactly slope is, or you can give me any website related to it

  1. Slope is defined as Rise over Run.  On a standard XY cartesian plane, you can say the change in the Y value over the change in the X value.

    The formula is often given as (Y2-Y1)/(X2-X1)

    For example, if two points on a graph are (1,1) and (4,3), the slope of the line connecting these two points can be found as follows...

    (3 - 1)/(4 - 1)

    2/3

    The slope is 2/3
