Basically, you start out as a little DNA, creature, germ, thingy and you help customize it and help it survive and grow. Help it evolve from a single-celled species, to a fully-formed member of an establishing species.

It's a God-Sim game.  Basically, you start out with a little spore and then you evolve it so that it can defend itself against hostile creatures.  As it evolves, hopefully it will get more and more powerful.  When it's powerful enough, you try to take over the universe.
