  1. A lot of European countries have a 'city tax'.  Some hotels incorporate it into the price of your stay but others require you to pay it when you check out.  It varies from about one euro per person, per night in and goes up to around 5 euros per person, per night in more touristy places (normally big cities).  You will be able to ask the hotel you're staying at how much the tourist tax is and whether it's included in the room or paid seperately.

  2. The 'city tax' varies from city to city, but is generally in the region of 1.5 to 2CHF (Swiss Francs) per night, and is added to your hotel bill on check-out.  It's only a small amount altogether and nothing to worry about.

  3. You don't say where you are going but usually it is included in the quoted hotel rate.  In return, many areas in Switzerland will give you vouchers for free travel on local buses - the hotel should give you one when you check in if appropriate
