  1. A system 36 golf format is used for tournaments where they need a handicap and some players may not have one. At the completion of your round your "handicap" is taken from your one day round total in the following format.

    Double bogey or worse - 0 points

    Bogey - 1 point

    Par or better - 2 points

    Once you add up your round total you subtract that from 36 (1/2 of a typical par 72 btw). You can then get your net score for the tournament. Example if you shot 100 and your tally came to 15 your net score is 100 - 15 or 85.
