What is THE GRACE ACADEMY homeschooling program like?

We've been using the Abeka (college prep school) homeschooling program for 2yrs (the only 2 we've homeschooled), but the only problem is that they don't offer advanced courses (more advanced than their norm courses) and the extra classes. We've look at a lot of cirriculums and THE GRACE ACADEMY stood out the most to us.

Does anyone know what it's like and how advanced it's advanced courses are?

  1. From everything I've seen, it's much more talk than product.  Sheesh, for that price, it better scout colleges for you and negotiate scholarships.

The owner has been accused of and sued for some fairly shady business deals and runs a number of cyberschools that are all exactly the same thing.  Why?  No clue...but they have the same curriculum, the same scope and sequence, offer basically the same thing (with the exception of transcript services), but differ greatly in price.

I agree with glurpy - you couldn't get me to bring my child anywhere near that place.  No thanks.

  2. Grace Academy is a Christian based homeschool that is tuition based. It is about $2499.00 a year unless you register early, and then there is a huge discount and costs only $1199.00 a year. This school is for students K-12.

There are others that are more affordable

  3. http://www.homeedmag.com/blogs/editorial... You might want to read this.  It's about the owner of the academy and I've heard nothing but bad things about her, not to mention the many many lawsuits that both she and her husband have against them and their companies.  A really great website is  http://www.home-school.com/  They have a great forum section there with a lot of people willing to help and answer question.

  4. It's not a very reputable school due to the owner and her history. I wouldn't touch any of her schools (why does she have more than one? haven't a clue) with a 10ft pole.
