  1. it is toxic shock syndrome. it comes from using tampons if you have a scratch. fever rash low blood pressure and organ failure.sore throat headache cough loose bowel dizzy muscle aches and abdominal pain

  2. Toxic Shock Syndrome. It can happen if you leave in a tampon for too long. If you are experiencing any flu -like symptoms.. (nausea, vomiting, chills, fever) go to the doctor immediately!!

  3. Toxic Shock Syndrome.

The badddd part of Tampons, It's a serious but uncommon bacterial infection. There's two kinds:

Toxic shock syndrome from staphylococcus starts suddenly with vomiting, high fever (temperature at least 102° Fahrenheit [38.8° Celsius]), a rapid drop in blood pressure (with lightheadedness or fainting), watery diarrhea, headache, sore throat, and muscle aches.

Within 24 hours, a sunburn-like rash appears. There also may be bloodshot eyes and an unusual redness under the eyelids or inside the mouth (and v****a in females). After that, broken blood vessels may appear on the skin. Other symptoms may include: confusion or other mental changes; decreased urination; fatigue and weakness; thirst; weak and rapid pulse; pale, cool, moist skin; and rapid breathing.

    Streptococcal toxic shock syndrome (STSS)

STSS can happen following a streptococcus infection in the body, most often a skin infection or an infected wound. Within 48 hours of infection, blood pressure drops dangerously low, and the person may have fever, dizziness, confusion, difficulty breathing, and a weak and rapid pulse. The skin may be pale, cool, and moist, and there may be a rash that sometimes peels later on. The area around an infected wound can become swollen, red, and have areas of severely damaged or dying flesh. The liver and kidneys may begin to fail, and bleeding problems may develop.

  4. Toxic shock syndrome can happen from many, many ways - not just leaving a tampon in too long.  Many years ago tampons were made differently from the way they are made now, and absorbed so much moisture that women's vaginas were getting scratched and injured when they pulled the tampons out.  This allowed a specific type of bacteria to enter their system and overload their immune system.  It is rare now for tampons to cause TSS but it can still happen, so it's always a good idea to change your tampon on time.  If you are a couple hours late, don't freak out - chances are not that great that you will get TSS since they are made differently and don't absorb so aggressively.

  5. TSS is Toxic Shock Syndrome its a rare but sometimes fatal disease you can get from tampons and it is treatable and its good that u reconize it early and of course the treatments are important to get as soon as you know you have TSS. To try to prevent it you should use the lowest absorbency (reg., super, ect.) that is needed. the signs or symptoms are: a suden high fever usually 101For 102F,vomiting, diarrhea, a rash or something that looks like sunburn, dizziness, muscle achs, or fainting or near fainting wen standing up. If u hav these signs and are using a tampon, of course remove it then immediatly call a doctor. For more info. on TSS if there are any tampon boxes you or some one in your family hav there shuld be a folded paper in the box which will hav instrucions on how to insert a tampon and somewhere on that paper it has information on TSS. sometimes the outside of a tampon box(on the side most likely) there can be information there too.

  6. Toxic Shock Syndrome.....open any box of tampons and there is a pamphlet explaining all the symptoms and how to avoid it. Hope you're ok!!!

  7. it is caused my keeping your tampon in for too long.Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is a rare but potentially fatal disease caused by a bacterial toxin. Different bacterial toxins may cause toxic shock syndrome, depending on the situation. The causative agent is Staphylococcus aureus.

  8. It's Toxic Shock Syndrome. It become a problem many years ago with a (then) new tampon that had little sponges in it that led to a staph infection that went Rambo. It's a rare infection that comes on quickly. It includes flu-like symptoms (diarreah, vomiting), possible bright red rash, with a fever of 102 or more. If you had it, the fever that high alone should get you to a hospital FAST. Anytime anyone's fever goes 102 or better, you should seek medical help.

If you are writing this letter, that right there is a pretty clear sign you don't have it. You would feel like death.
