Im assuming 7 W stands for 7 watts and 15 W for 15 watts and that what i need to look for. But what exactly is a C type bulb and a B type Bulb?

I bought 2 dainty lamps online and this is what the say as to the type of bulbs to use in them respectively.

  1. inside the incandescent bulb, to protect the filament from oxidation and burn out. they filled the bulb with inert gas like argon, or suck the air out until it is vacuum

type B is when the filament is operating in vacuum

type C is when the filament is operating in filled inert gas

  2. i have a couple lamps that take those type of bulbs, i got the bulbs at walmart. you pay a bit more for them than regular light bulbs when you go look they are with the light bulbs, but over near the night light bulbs and appliance bulbs.  look closely because i looked over them numerous times before i found them.

    hope this helps

  3. Look at the end of the bulbs. If one has a single solder point, it is a single filament. If t has two it is a double filament. The single one has one setting only and the two filament has two settings. As to which is which, I'm not certain.
