  1. they make your pot plants feel like there in the sun instead of your basement

  2. UV light bulbs are filtered to primarily produce "black light" the ultra violet part of the spectrum.  They make certain paints, pigments, dies, and starches glow in the dark.  When looked at, they glow violet and are very hard to watch because our eyes don't focus UV well.

If they look like a regular s***w in light bulb, they are black in color and made of heavy glass and get very hot because they are filtering all the visible light from what is an ordinary light bulb inside.

If they are a fluorescent type tube, they can be either black or sort of off white.  The black ones completely filter visible and cost more than the off white which simply let everything inside out - fluorescent produces a lot of UV which is normally converted to visible by the powder coating inside.  If placed in a dark room with a dayglow poster, both will make the poster glow, but the off white produces enough visible light you can see the edges of the poster while with the black only the image glows.

  3. Ultra Violet Light Bulbs? I dont know, yeah i think. Its like the suns rays are ultra violet, these too but not as bad. Pretty sure i think. O_o

  4. They are the bulbs that have a purple glow. They make light object distinct.
