Do you have it? Have you had it?

If so, were you able to go through it with medication?

Did you get surgery? If so, how was it?

Any natural medicine that you recommend?

  1. UC is a bowel disease that basically means your digestive track is swollen or inflamed. It is not 'curable' but it is treatable. It is however a serious condition and left untreated it can lead to very serious complications including shock. If you suspect you have it you need to get checked right away. Don't wait.

I have not had it, but I know about it.

  2. U C is a chronic, nonspecific, inflamatory and ulcerative disease arising in the colonic mucosa, characterized most often by bloody diarrhea.

I have had it for fifty years, and after the correct treatment, have lived a normal life.In my case,I failed to receive proper treatment until I was in

    serious condition-My weight went from 155 to 110,I had 25  BM's a

day, and had a fever for 4 months. However, the doctors were able to

slowly bring me back to health with medications such as ACTH.

I have had few recurrances , and never was hospitalized again after the first month. I have had no surgery for this problem. I take Asacol

medication, and do not believe AT ALL in natural medication-it does not have to tested by thr Food and Drug Administration as it is not labled as a medication-so it can be sold to any gullible customer.

  3. My brother had it.  It is ulcers in the colon.  Usually they remove the colon surgically.  You then will have a stoma, where you have you bowel movements from on your front, at approx. the level of the pubic bone.

You will either wear a bag, and it goes into that automatically.  You may also have the stoma hanging out, and when you need to have a bowel movement, you go and let it drop out of there.

The surgery is a major operation, as they remove the colon, make a stoma on your front, and sew up your r****m.

Talk to your doctor openly about this.  He may just watch it for awhile, which is what they did to my brother, he though had to have the surgery approx. 10 years after being diagnosed with it.
