What is Work-Study?

In few words, what is work-study? I can look it up, but there is too much information. Give me the basics... Have you done this, and what do you recommend? Tell me your experiences.

  1. Almost all colleges have a work-study program.  The student attends classes as normal AND the student is eligible to work on campus.

    On a side note, there are 7 work colleges in the U.S.  All students are required to work a certain number of hours.  I go to one of these colleges.  This can be both a negative and positive experience; it all depends on how you look at it.

I have never done work study, but in college it was like for people who were enrolled @ the school could apply to work there.  But I think your parent's income has something to do with qualifying for it. You get paid through the school. Like usually the jobs are working at the library, for a department or something like that.

    you work at a school and they pay you little pay. Like min wages.
