1. this is a mail address

  2. YES!

it is a fake lottery, DO NOT (bolded, italicized, and underlined) send them your personal information!

I haven't read the E-mail in question, but theres a fairly good chance the words "south africa" appear in it. Something about international and electronic laws make S. Africa a breeding ground for these scams. The scammers might not all come from South Africa, its the location. These emails are far too common and unfortunately people continue to be scammed by them.

These E-mails claim that you have either A.) Won an extremely large sum on money for no apparent reason --OR-- B.) Are going to receive an extremely large amount of money for sending a seemingly small sum to a person so he/she can "get their briefcase full of US dollars across customs". The creativeness in these emails is impressive. There are scams ranging from frozen assets of an African Prince, random worldwide lottery drawings, to promotional campaigns. They are ALL scams no matter how they claim to get you your money.

PLEASE do not send them your personal information despite how legitimate it may seem.

  3. Yahoo would not send a promotion with a hotmail e-mail address. From the looks of it though it may be something associated with porno....hint 69.....Gerri being a girls name......clicking on the blue link that came with it will give you an answer if you are curious. Just spam it or send to trash. If you wanted stuff like that you could easily find it without ending up in your mailbox.
