Here in Brisbane, we hosted the Commonwealth Games in 1986 and World Expo '88.

We also have annual cockroach races and cane toad races.

So what's your claim to fame?

We're way north in Minnesota. And we have the one and only traffic stop light in the whole county. Oh, and "Scrap Iron" Scorzy shot two deer with one bullet.

Where I live in Skelmanthorpe we have a Brass Band which is one of the oldest brass bands in the country dating back to 1843....although, rather obviously, they have different players now!

Also Skelmanthorpe was one of the locations for filming the 1970s television sitcom, Oh No, it's Selwyn Froggitt

And we got the 2012 games in LONDON because of it!! cos we proved we CAN host massive events

I live in Milwaukee, which has rather large and elaborate ethnic festivals, as well as a main festival called Summerfest. It's Milwaukee's biggest tourist attraction and there are some significant musicians who play at the festivals each year. It's also a haven for cuisine.

I actually live in a rural area between Palm Springs and Desert Hot Springs.  Palm Springs claim to fame is that the average age is 77 years old, and g*y Pride Parades are in November instead of June (because of the June heat).

Desert Hot Springs claim to fame is that it is the METH Capitol of the World!

It's like being between a rock and a hard place!
