  1. I'm a die hard Wicked fan as well, but its not the "BEST IN THE WORLD" as you say it is.

There are other musicals out there that are better in some places than Wicked.

No such thing as the best musical in the world because everyone likes different things.

    To answer the question: Rent.

  2. I would have to say Phantom and Evita.

  3. Wicked is my favorite show, then it's Legally Blonde, then it's Hairspray, then Les Mis, then Little Mermaid, then Lion King, then Mary Poppins.

  4. Eh, I liked Wicked when I was in 6th grade and thought that Wicked and Rent were the extent of musical theatre. That's a hard question, though - I think it's a three-way-tie between Sweeney Todd (The Broadway show - not the Tim Burton movie), Evita, and Spring Awakening. I also LOVE the Patti LuPone Gypsy Revival and [Title of Show], though, but I guess [TOS] is more off-Broadway - Until next month! Yay!

  5. Well, I don't think Wicked is the best in the world. It's very good though. I think my favorite show would have to be Sunday in the Park with George. It's so beautiful and sweet

  6. Les Miserables.

  7. Hopefully, you mean any show that has ever been on Broadway, because that's how I'm going to interpret your question.

The Sound of Music is probably my favorite (I'm biased in its favor, though - I played Louisa von Trapp, the 13-year-old, in my high school's 2007 production).  The music is extremely catchy, and the story line is cute.

The music from Hairspray is also quite good, as is the music from Cinderella, but I haven't seen them, so I can't form an opinion on either.

  8. CHOOSE?!?!  Oh dear. I believe I'm going to go with the Phantom of the Opera.  It was my first and the music is phenomenal.

Also love: Rent, Legally Blonde, Hairspray, AVenue Q, Sweeny Todd, and You're A Good Man Charlie Brown (just so fun!)

  10. Best in the world according to you maybe, but not to me.  I wouldn't even include Wicked in my top 5 - maybe on spectacle value, but certainly not on anything else.  I can't choose a favourite, and they change regularly, but at the moment I am loving:

    - Company (Sondheim) which is my current obsession

    - Sweeney Todd (Sondheim, but the show rather than the movie)

    - Avenue Q

    - The Producers (Mel Brooks is a genius)

    - Les Mis (usually in my top 5!)

    - Guys and Dolls

    - Hairspray (I did love the movie, but I like the OBC recording much better)

  11. Wicked the best in the world may be your opinion it is certainly not shared by everyone in the world. Be careful how you use language there is a difference between favorite and best. My favorite is Phantom of the Opera.
