  1. I know it's it strange ?

  2. Y!360 is transitioning into a different social networking platform in early 2008. There has not been a more specific date announced on the blog yet, so it could happen any time between January and end of March 2008. Yahoo is trying to centralize its profiling services - Y!Mash, Y!360, and the regular Members profile - into one. See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/product_360 for more details.

Yes, the blog hasn't been updated since October, but they did say in that blog entry:

"We'll provide updates on the new profile service here on the blog. But, there's lots of work to be done, and most likely we will not have additional details in the near future. We will keep you apprised over the next several months." No doubt that we are still within "several" months.

However, they are no longer fixing bugs related to Y!360, so there's no point in trying to contact them about it.

  3. Mash is not replacing 360 to my knowledge....but 360 is being converted to something else....

    NoMore 360

It's more like they are going to combine everything into one place. When they say this I'm thinking 360, answers, mash, groups, photos, etc.

Basically what they've commited to A New Universal Profile that includes all areas of yahoo. Apparently they will not be fixing bugs in 360, but our blogs and info will transfer over to this new thing.

  4. It will soon be replaced with Mash. No date has been set yet. It is still in beta testing.

  5. All yahoo is saying is that the change is suppose to occur early in 2008, and contrary to what the person above said, it is not being replaced with mash:

A: The universal profile will not be Mash -- at least not the Mash that you see today. The new profile is likely to share the same platform as Mash, which means that we can provide you with greater flexibility than you currently have on 360°.
