Question:

What is Yost thinking?

What is up with Brewer's coach Yost?

First he lets Suppan (why is he still in the rotation anyways?) give up 7 runs in one inning after they had a 4-1 lead going into the inning.

Then today he lets CC give up a lead as well, letting him load the bases with 1 out, and still leave him in to give up 2 runs.

Doesn't he realize when a pitcher is in trouble, he needs to get him out of there?

Now he had Gagne pitching well, so he replaces him with Torres. What, Gagne can't pitch more than an inning? (Maybe he can't, but that doesn't seem likely.) The back to back walks aren't making me feel any better about that.

What is he thinking? Is he thinking? How many more games is he going to lose through bad decisions?

Well, guess I will watch the rest of it to see how it goes.

  1. Answer on why you bring a closer in with the game tied. The Brewers are the home team. If the game is tied in the 9th inning the home team can no longer earn a save. So most managers bring the closer in since he is usually the best reliever. I am not a fan of Yost but he can't be blamed for this.  As for the night he left Suppan in you are right on. What was Yost thinking?

  2. no, better yet.  Rickie Weeks having another bad game, nothing new.  not just at the plate, but fielding.  instead of substituting him for Ray Durham when there's a righty pitching for the Cubs, Yost keeps Weeks batting.  wtf?  the end result: Weeks strikes out again.  we get Yosted again!  so frustrating.  who is killing this team more: Rickie Weeks, Bill Hall, the bullpen, or Ned Yost?  thankfully we have Hardy, Braun, CC, and Sheets.  CC was average at best today.  wasn't good, but wasn't bad.

  3. Yost is an IDIOT!

  4. yeah I see what you mean but Gagne gave up some easy plays. In a way, I don't blame him taking him out. The game WAS tied 4-4 so you do need a good closer to go into the bottom 9th have the upper hand. Torres is normally on his game when it come to closing one but tonight, a couple of brewers have been off.
