Question:

What is Your Preferred Java Development Workbench/IDE

I want to get a good one with colored syntax. Ease of use. Free is good, but $100 - $300 is OK. Something that works good, like MSVC 6.0, my fav. Quick index/context-sensitive help, having complete language & library reference at fingertips (again, like MSVC 6.0). What to get? Thanks so much!

  1. try jcreator

1 user license is only $89

    goto http://www.jcreator.com

  2. Eclipse is free and does everything that expensive ones like IntelliJ does.  It's also hands down the most widely used Java IDE out there.
