  1. sunday is a dumb name.

but apparently it has some sort of connection with  nicoles grandparents.

and the kid should be raised in australia.

but maybe im biased, i live in australia!

P.S it rox if you don't live here then *** and visit!

  2. I like the name Sunday and I like the name Rose - unfortunately when put together it does sound like Sunday Roast.  In Australia many years ago (before Tom and Nicole even got together), they had a TV ad with Naomi Watts in it, and she gave up a date with Tom Cruise to stay at home and eat mum's roast, so it sounded funny cos of that as well.  However, she will be known simply as Sunday as we rarely use our middle names, so it will be fine.  She was named after Sunday Reed, a famous artist (see below).  As for raising her in the USA, well, why not?  They both live and work in the USA, why on earth would they suddenly move back to Australia?  The US has been their home for many years.  Nicole's other children still live there too and we don't know what her true relationship with them is.  I am sure they will visit Australia very regularly.  I am very happy for Nicole - after wanting a baby for so many years, that her dream has come true at last.

  4. I think the name is fine, what ever makes her happy.  I have a friend that named her daughter September so I don't see what the big deal is.  Not everyone goes with the same stereotype names any more.

  5. I think that if that makes them happy, good for them. Why should we care about it?

  6. They can raise little Sunday wherever they want, no concern of mine.  If I had the choice, I'd raise my kids in USA too - more opportunities.  Dual citizenship - grandparents back in Australia - lucky kid.  Hope all goes well for them.

  7. Poor kid is going to be nicknamed Sunday Roast. Gwyneth Paltrow called hers Apple, a friend of mine called his daughter Lettice. Sunday also sounds like an ice cream. It's starting to look like a picnic here!

As for raising the child in the US, that's where Nicole Kidman's other two kids live, so that makes sense.

  8. It's not a bad name , I mean compared to most other celebs babies names lol , it's better than Apple . It's kind of cute they can nickname her Sunny .  But when I first heard it my first thought was Sunday roast .

  9. Honestly, who really cares what they named their child or where they intend OR don't intend to raise her.  What business is it of ours with all of the other stuff going on in the World or simply our own lives?

Who are we to deride the decision they've obviously made over a period of time?  They knew they were having a daughter and made a considered decision.

Best wishes to all of them in whatever they decide to do or NOT do.

  10. I like the name it certainly beats names like Savannah,Montana or River and I think its great they are raising their child in Nashville where they have been made very welcome.

  11. OK, people... reality check:

Apple, Suri, Moon Unit, Dweezil, Rumer, Scout, Coco, Peaches, Blanket, Pilot... now THOSE are weird names.

I think Sunday Rose is beautiful... no more unusual than Summer Rose or Autumn Rose... out of all the days of the week, Sunday is prettiest and has the significance of a Sabbath Rest, or the day Jesus rose from the dead.

It may have special significance to the parents as well - perhaps they conceived on that day, and Nicole has had trouble w/ miscarriages, so that's understandable.

Congrats and blessings to the Kidman/Urban family.

  12. ugh i hate that name. lol.

  13. I think Sunday is a stupid name

  14. The only people who live in Australia are foreigners!!!!

Also the name?  Why not call her Monday?  That was the day she was born on.

  15. i think its cute

  16. Why would you name a child Sunday Rose? It's a weird name and the poor kid's probably is going to be bullied, especially when you see American children.
