i've noticed that there are different styles of snowboards but the thing that confuses me most is the 'stance' part. what does 1"setback mean?

how do you tell what your stance is and what are the different stances?

  1. i just got into snowboarding last year but im pretty sure a 1 inch set back is that your stance is not centered on the board but rather 1 inch towards the back. a center stance (0 inch setback) is better for freestyle riders and 1 inch set backs are geared more towards free riding and all mountain..

stance depends on your style and what is comfortable for you

    hope i helped :)
