What is a 100% disabled veteran?
Tags:
It is usually not an easy thing for the VA to rate a Veteran 100% P&T. There has to be something or a combination of somethings very major medically wrong that the Veteran is suffering from to get that high a rating and I seriously doubt the money, which ain't all that much...approx. 35,000/year, can ever compensate fully for the physical and/or mental disabilities that came from military service. What's a eye, leg or arm worth? I dunno, however, that's the high cost of freedom. I would like to see 100% disabled Veterans be a little more realistically compensated for the opportunities they will never have due to their military service maybe double the $35,000 rate of compensation so they won't have to live near the edge of poverty for the rest of their lives.
