  2. Geez I am getting old. I didn't think I would hear this question for a few more years.

A 35mm camera is a camera that uses 35mm film. It is not a digital camera. There are a few digital cameras that use an image sensor that is the same size as 35mm film though.

  3. It is a film camera. The 35 mm refers to the full width of the film, including the sprockets. The image area itself is 24x36 mm.

  4. A 35mm camera can also be referred to as Film slr camera. The "35mm" is the size of the recording medium per exposure. Most digital camera these days do not offer such big sensors, except for the Canon Mark I and Nikon's flagship camera.
