  1. I was on a four day cruise for my first cruise and it was perfect.  You will leave wanting more, that was the only bad thing.

  2. Too short. You will find that all cruises are like that, when they are done you are ready for the next one (Unless you are unfortunate enough to get lousy weather. The weather is usually great in the Caribbean). Unfortunately most of us have to work for a living.

  3. The Navigator of the Seas is one of five Voyager class ships.  The ships are so popular that Royal Caribbean (RCI) wanted to offer one to the people who take shorter cruises.  The Navigator was chosen.  The Voyager class of ships was so popular that RCI is building three "ultra Voyager" ships (Freedom and Liberty of the Seas are already taking passengers and the Independence of the Seas will arrive in 2008).

I was on the Navigator of the Seas in August 2004 and she is a wonderful ship.  Unfortunately four days is not enough time to truly experience all that the Navigator of the Seas and cruising has to offer.  The Navigator of the Seas has an ice skating rink, an inline skating track, miniature golf course, two pools plus a third adults only pool, an indoor mall (the Royal Promenade), a casino, a video game room, a wonderful children's program, several lounges, a theater for Vegas style entertainment, TVs in all the cabins and an expanded teen center (larger than the teen center on the first three Voyager class ships).

Four night cruises are designed for people who want a quick get-a-way or who want to try out cruising.  However, to get the full effect of how relaxing a cruise can be (sea days are very relaxing), you really need at least five nights (seven nights are even better).  Because the cruise is short (and less expensive) you will find that there are more younger people on the cruise.  As a result, short cruises tend to have more of a party atmosphere.

I think you will have a great time.  I really enjoyed the Navigator of the Seas, and just got off the Freedom of the Seas.  Also, I am booked on another Voyager class ship in June 2009 (the Mariner of the Seas), where we will spend a week on a Mexican Riviera cruise.

    Enjoy your cruise.

  4. way too short for me. i prefer week cruises or longer.....5 days minimum.

  5. Hectic.  My husband and I went on a 4-day Greek cruise that toured 6 islands.  We had two ports of call nearly everyday and it was hard keeping up with the pace.  Also, we did not get nearly enough time at the islands we enjoyed.  It's probably best to do a longer cruise so your time is more spaced out and you can relax, as well as take in the sights more at your leisure.

  6. 4 days is too short.  The first day the ship usually doesn't leave until 4:00 or so so you miss a good part of the day right off the bat, and when your last day you return to port early in the morning so you lose that day totally.........your 4 day cruise is only 3 nights long..........
