What is a 70/30 or a 80/20 regrading child custody?

I was going for a 50/50 then was told its not a good idea that i should go for a 70/30 or a 80/20 can you please help me and tell me what the break down in on that.

Who told you it's not a good idea?  And why did they tell you that?  Does it have something to do with child support?

It's just what it sounds like:

50/50--the child spends 50% of their time with each parent

70/30--the child spends 70% of their time with one parent and 30% with the other

80/20--the child spends 80% of their time with one parent and 20% with the other.

How that % would break down/what the 'schedule' would be depends on what the parents are willing to/able to agree to.
