  1. Yes CTF loader is required by Microsoft office, so every time your computer starts it looks for CTF loader. Go to msconfig, Start->Run->type msconfig.exe and click on the startup tabs and check ctfmon and restart your computer and you should be good to go.

Issue generally faced the user upgrades to Microsoft Office 2007.

  2. I don't know why Win Patrol Plus is so insistent about CTF Loader.  My Yahoo! search for "CTF Loader" uncovered references to it as part of MS Office XP (2002) -- not even part of Win Patrol!  Maybe Win Patrol Plus is scanning your startup programs and has doubts about that one.  (Generally, that's a good thing for an anti-malware program to do, if it does it right.)

According to one search result, "The CTF Loader is part of Microsoft Office XP. It is used to activate the Language Bar (voice recognition) .."

Does that ring a bell regarding your configuration?

In any case, do a Yahoo! search and see if that sheds any light on the situation.

    Hope that helps.

  3. Yes,

CTFMON.EXE (CTF Loader). Supports speech recognition, handwriting

recognition, and other Alternative User Input services.

If you don't use any of these then you can disable the service, to do this hold winkey(the key with the windows logo) R and in the run prompt type "msconfig"; now, at the tabs at the top select startup and find CTFMON.EXE and remove the check in it's box.

On startup you will get a message saying you have made changes to your computer, just click don't show this again.
