A "Chord" is more then one string. There are many. You play them different depending on the strings involved.  Mel Bays has a book out, with many in it.  This book tells you which strings to play, and which not to.  I am sure online you will find some.  Watch a person play a guitar, if they are strumming they are playing a chord.

Their are 4,400 chords in the dictionary chord of music, don't forget that, most of them are just repetition of other chords that have a different name.

to play a chord you have to position your fingers in the right position and strum up or down .

There are MILLIONS of chords for guitar. Acoustic guitar, Electric guitar, and Piano follow the same chord system.

Chords are a harmony of notes. For example, if you followed up the musical alphabet (C,D,E,F,G,A,B), you would take the 1st, the 3rd and the 5th to make a chord. Chords are ussually more than one note.

It depends which chord you want to play. The easiest chord would be G. So it would be G, B, D, G, D, G.

It's hard to tell someone how to play a chord over the internet, so this is the best I could do.
