I am 14 years old, and am a freshman on the JV Golf team. I made about 200 dollars last weekend, and I am looking to buy a new golf driver. My budget is about 175-225 dollars. I usually shoot in the mid 40's. Thanks!

  1. Well i shoot in the high 30's and i use a Taylor Made R7 425.  I love it.  I say you should go with a taylor made.  You can get some cheap R5 dual's anywhere with clubs.

  2. Mcgregor perfect.

  3. yea

  4. WOW! Congratulations on your game!

    I am a golf equipment junkie with lots of buying experience.  Here's what I would do;

    Go to a golf superstore, try out several drivers.  The sales rep will tape the drivers to protect them, but the other advantage is that you won't be able to see the brand names, (ask him or her to make sure  that this is the case).

    Totally ignoring the brand until after you've made your choice, choose the driver that fits you and you hit the best.

    Then.... If the driver you've chosen is a high end brand name, look for a good used one.  Local golf clubs are a good resource and also online. But if you look online there are some things to be aware of.

    Good luck with your game!

  5. My 15 year old son was using my Cleveland Hi-Bore so much that I finally gave it to him.  He's now poppin it out there between 250-275 consistently.  You can get it @ rockbottomgolf.com for $159 and have some $$ left over.  What did I get you might ask...the Taylor-Made R7 !
