What is a French online community?

I am looking to imrpove my french and where can I chat with french speaking people (forum) online? I tried these communities and i just ended up having people asking for my pictures. That's just weird.

Whatever you do, stand clear of "skyblogs".

It's a blog platform, popular among the French youth, but on those sites they write with awful, awful mistakes.
