Question:

What is a Good breed of Dog to Buy?

I'm looking to buy a dog and I'm not sure what breeds are good. I like the look of Beagles, Labradors, Bichon Frieses and some other smaller dogs.

What are some good breeds that are easy to manage and train and are not too large?

  1. take a breed test online.

  2. Maltease. They so cute :)

  3. Daschunds (standard not mini) are a low maintenance dog. Lots of energy, fiercely loyal, compact and short hair (I like the red ones myself). Beagles and bassets too. As you can tell I like the hounds. And mutts from the pound are great dogs too.

  4. My advice is to go to a shelter. You'll see which dogs that you like and which look easy to manage and train. If you get them when they are puppies you don't know how they are going to turn out (ie if they will be easy for you to manage) so yeah, go around to shelters and see which dogs you like.

  5. Maltese Shih Tzus.

  6. We like pugs.  Not good if you have allergies though due to their thick undercoat which constantly sheds.

  7. pomeranian

  8. cross breed

  9. Labradors are easy to train and look after - the others on your list require a lot more work.  I advise you ask at your local vet clinic for advice - we need more information about your lifestyle to decide what type of dog is best suited to YOU.

  10. well i prefer a beagle like my dog angel ill give u a website so u can look at beagles there so cutehttp://www.beagle-dogs.com/pictures-imag...

  11. Labrador's are big but they're intelligent and amazing company.

  12. hi,

to know what type of dog will suit you, you can use this dog finder match up http://tinyurl.com/6gkcok

the goal here is to help you figure out what type of dog best suits you and your personality. The results of the match up will suggest certain breeds.

    hope this helps

  13. please adopt instead of buying. Alot of pure breeds are inbred to keep their "looks" and can have a number of problems both physical and mental. Also there are tons of caring doggies at the shelter that need a good home. they have puppies too. i got a great Golden from there she is the most loving pup ever. Shes kinda small becasue was the runt. Please rescue!

  14. Border Collies are gorgeous but they need a fair amount of exercise...

  15. Well you should get a weimeraner. very short hair and not huge dogs. they get to about 65 pounds. Smart dogs. Or a golden retrievers are great too. And german sheperds are the best.

  16. Go to your local animal shelter and see which dog picks you!  We have mini-foxies (see my avatar) and no they are not yappers!!!

  17. Bearded Collie, without a doubt, great temperament. Had lab, border collie, gsd all of which i loved greatly but my beardie boy is something special. Look at beardie website.

  18. A pit-bull.I know you probably heard stuff on the news that they attack children and stuff but you just have to train it good and let it be around people so he/she gets just to of seeing people.

  19. shih tzu :)
