What is a Jellico cat?

Jellicle cats are black and white, Jellico cats are fat....read the entire series in Old Possums Book by t.s. eliot on which the musical Cats is based.  You will find this work as endearing as the play.

T.S. Elliot "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats"  The Broadway musical Cats is based on it and it's a short book of poetry about cats.  "The name jellicle comes from a previously unpublished poem by Eliot entitled "Pollicle Dogs and Jellicle Cats", where jellicle cats is a corruption of dear little cats and pollicle dogs of poor little dogs" found in Wikipedia.  Just look up Andrew Lloyd Webber or "Cats" musical and you'll hear all about them.  The song Memory is from Cats, but not from the book although a lot of the songs are from the book.  Really fun collection of poetry and very short to read.
