Someone told me that I had an encounter with a Jinn when I claimed to have had a ghost play with my hair, and tickle me in a famously huanted pub here in the UK... She even hugged me, this ghost. It was amazing... Thats why i asked about them before.

She is meant to be an 8 year old girl...and the owners have seen her, as have many locals.

Please advise... I am searching as I know what I felt, but I dont know what it was.

  1. Jinn are not ghosts they are beings just like humans one of Gods creations. He created Angels made of light, Humans made of clay and Jinn made of fire.

They marry have children, eat, worship even. There are good and bad Jinn just like good and bad people. Jinn do live in abandoned homes and believe that they are theirs.

Jinn are not ghosts I can assure you of that.

  2. A Jinn is the Muslim equivalent of a demon in Christian mythology.

  3. Jinn's are both demonic and angelick spirits that actual predate muslims beliefs.

Some legends say they are good others say they are bad.

I reccommend studying the Goetia for more information./

  4. Jinn: God's creation.  Spirit creatures similar to angels but made differently.

From what I understand, Angels are made with light and Jinn are made with fire.  There are God-fearing Jinn who worship God and then there are those who disobey Him.

Not ghosts.  But personally speaking, I would not want anything to do with them.  I don't know that your experience would necessarily be an encounter with Jinn... sorry... don't know enough about them.

  5. "In Arabian folklore, a genie (also jinn, djinn, from Arabic جني jinn) is a supernatural fiery creature who is said to possess free will. Genies are mentioned in the Qur'an, wherein a whole chapter is named after them (Al-Jinn). They can be both good and evil. Evil genies are said to lead humans astray. In Islam, Satan, known in Arabic as Iblees, is the iconic genie that refused to bow down to Adam when ordered to by Allah."
