  1. Wear casual clothing, it doesn't need to be really formal.  This isn't a prom.  You don't have to get a date.  You can always go and just ask someone there.  ;-)

Junior High Dance usually is casual.  It will probably be in the gym or cafeteria.  The point of the dance is to allow a chance for students to mingle.  You don't have to dance if you don't want to, just hang out with your friends and have some fun.  You can also group dance with your friends too.  Enjoy!

  2. they're really lame, you dont need to get like a ball gown just like a cute little dress thats fancy, but not really that much, you dont need a date either, if you want you can just go with friends

  3. its kinda awkward cuz not lots of ppl dance

it depends on wat kind of dance it is and ur school and stuff but mostly ppl just hang out in their friend groups and talk

  4. wear what you wore to school

    or a nicer shirt

    dot get a date

its just like a house party

but no booze and really bad music

    i wouldn't even go

  5. its like teachers all around so u cant do anything fun

  6. it's kind of stupid. right now, it might seem cool, but later you'll realize what a waste of time it really was.

but you should go, just to experience how lame it is.

    you don't need a date.

wear whatever you want. it's not a big deal, really.

  7. 1. Probably a dress

    2. If someone asks you or you ask them. It's not a big deal, though, only Prom really asks for dates.

    3. Too much rap music, lots of girls grinding up against each other. Depends on what your school offers.

  8. it's HORRIBLE. lots of nerds go out for it because well atleast at my school because its a no-cut program. you will just look really dumb and people will make fun of you. take dance classes adn just wait til hicgh school.

  9. wear something your comfortable in...just don't wear any high heels or anything..(im assuming this is your 1st year of dances)  the upper classman will make fun of you (about the heels thing) wear like shorts and i t-shirt...and no you don't usually get a date...what it is like? Your in a room with a bunch of people and you dance... nothing much to it...but they are fun...they kind of prepare you for high school dances...

  10. normal clothes!

no gets a date at mi skool we jst like dance with who evers there

and its jst like a normal party sum ppl jst stand around talking

    and others dance

    dont wear anything dressy!

  11. Really, junior high dances are pretty lame.  They're marginally better in high school (at least the teachers aren't breathing down your necks) but most people only go to semiformal, athletic banquet and prom.

    Anyways, on to junior high.

At my school, they were just casual (excluding grad of course).  We often giggled at the kids who got all dressed up, so don't do that.  Don't like show up in sweat pants and an old t-shirt, but a nice shirt and shorts (or jeans depending on the season) should suit you fine.  I wouldn't recommend a skirt for your purposes, as they just get annoying and ride up (denim skirts) or you're worried about it flying up all the time.

As for dates, don't worry about it.  You're young still and dates aren't necessary (and still aren't really in high school either, except maybe prom, but it's not really a necessity then either).  Usually only boyfriend/girlfriend couples go together.

What it's like...At our school the DJs played pretty dumb music, like songs that were popular two months before and the world is sick of them now and moved on to something new.  Since it's junior high, the guys and girls will probably still be fairly shy about touching one another (well, some guys are pervs, but yeah) and even if butt-touching commences, the teachers will probably intervene.

Hope you have fun and good luck :)

  12. It's sucky. You shouldn't go.

  13. SO MUCH FUN! You don't need a date. At my school we don't bring dates. You'll have so much fun!!!!!

  14. just normal dress clothes, you don't need a gown or tux or anything. Ask to see if others are bringing dates. Really not needed though.

  15. Hey, those are usually fun, but sometimes boring [:

But usually they are after school But if not, wear jeans and a tee, look cute and ull have so much fun!!!! :)

U dont really have a date, but if someone asks you, you go together and like dance together, but its not really that kinda dance. Its more of a freek dancing music, snaks, games, and fun kinda dance. :) Have fun, im sure u will!!

    Love,

    moi

  16. really at our school it is just like a party with your friends and we have a theme on that day and so everyone is dressed crazy like one day it was 80s so everyone waslike in skirts that are crazy ans so no you kdon't need a date

  17. Well, all schools hold different kinds of dances.

My school dances were always just casual get-togethers, with pizza  and pop, board games in the library, sports to play in the gym, and music playing in the cafeteria for those who wanted to dance with their friends. It's nothing like a High School Prom, if you know what I mean.

So no date, no dress, no tux. :)

But that's just my school. I've heard of Junior High Schools that have dances where you can bring a date and dress up.

But you really shouldn't have to worry about it. If you're really concerned, you can try asking someone who is a year or two older than you who attends your school. Or a member of your school's staff. They're sure to know.

    Good luck!

  18. really lame.

if you really want to go, just wear something normal but cute.

    but really, they suck.

  19. You dont get a  date. Its boring. Everyone stands on the sides of the walls and its pretty lame. Most people in my school dont go and the ones that do end up leaving pretty early.
