  1. In NJ it was a place to drop a public transit commuter off. Short stay .... 2-5  minutes. No official or designated parking. Also to pick up at the end of the journey. An accommodation when there is pay parking but not to be at the station too long to pay to park. Just to get the passenger and leave.

    Thank you

  2. At my school we have a kiss n ride, i am 12. A kiss n ride (for school purposes) is when you for example get driven to school your parents drop you off in the kiss n ride so its basically a place where you get dropped off and you get a kiss and then they ride away

  3. it is the place where you drop people off to get on the train.  its kinda like they are supposed to give you a kiss and they go ride. cars in those spaces must be attended

  4. It is a drop off point for a train station where a wife can drive her husband to the train, kiss him goodbye and then drive the car away while he goes to ride the train to work.

It is a good way to avoid traffic congestion at the station and takes less room and time than regular parking.

  5. Similar to flashing your b***s to get back stage or blowing a cop to get out of a ticket.

  6. Places where a person is dropped off from a car to get on the train.

  7. To quote directly from the Boroondara City (Melbourne) website:

“The pickup and drop off zones are known as the Kiss ’n ride zones because the passenger jumps out, kisses the driver, and then rides on the train.

“Train station patrons are encouraged not to park in these zones for longer than 10 minutes to ensure the system works well and everyone benefits.”
