  1. I almost pooped myself when I saw this question.

The reason you cannot find a Lion Cub Scout in Bay Lakes Council Cub Scout Pack 3526 is that he was from Pack 3-526, of the Hiawathaland Council (Michigan’s Upper Peninsula). The 3- is not part of the Pack Numeral System, but rather a designation of Cub Scout.

You are referring to Thomis M. (yes, Thomis, not Thomas, last name withheld as he is only 10 years old), who as of August 10th, 2006, became the most decorated Cub Scout in US History with his 229th recognition.

Thomis M. was a member of the 2004-2005 Bears Den of Cub Scout Pack 3-526, along with Austin C., Thomas H., and Jonathan L. A gaggle of average 3rd graders, who when combined, became a force to be reckoned with. In November of 2004 they were almost sent home(a term in the scouting community which means, ‘NO AVAILABLE ADULT VOLUNTEER’ This unit, under the direction of the last person to earn the Cub Scout Rank of Lion in 1975, went on to create the Order of the Lions, and the Lions Den recycling Project, which has been issued 29 Presidential Service Awards

    This is their story…
