I go to an alternative school that used to be an elementary school way back. The school is split in half and my side is the alternative side, and the other is a level four. I know about Level 3, but don't know what level 4 is or why kids are in it. I was just curious.

  1. Each state and/or city have different names for classifying these classes. I can not help you with what type Level 4 is.

If you are that curious,I suggest you ask a teacher in your school.

  2. Level 4 typically is a pretty restricted setting.  There could be significant behaviors or extreme physical impariments that require a smaller staff to student ration and some specialized instruction.  It is different from what could be a typical Level 3 program because there is no inclusion with non-special education same age peers.  They may have some intense behavior therapy and psychiatric services available.
