LTC administrators run nursing homes. They oversee all department heads, such as the director of nursing (DON), activities director, dietary director, social services director, housekeeping, laundry services, etc. They also negotiate contracts for rehabilitation services, food and beverage suppliers, and the medical director (MD or DO).

You'll need courses in business administration and healthcare management. It's not rocket science.
