What is a Nric/fin number?

Please tell me if it's supposed to be my passport number or student's pass number? Thanks =D

  1. The National Registration Identity Card (abbreviation: NRIC,or  IC is the identity document in use in Singapore.Only all Singaporean citizens & permanent residents have NRICs.

    A Foreign Identification Number (FIN) is a unique identification number assigned to foreigners who are issued with immigration & work passes in Singapore eg. student's pass holders.


  2. NRIC is your ID number.. it is sometimes similar to your passport HOWEVER, the new singapore bio metric passports does not follow you ID / IC number. If you are a foreigner, check your work permit/student id for this number.  

  3. NIRC is National Registration Identity Card

    FIN is Foreign Identification Number

  4. no ,it your identity card number or social number which they can identify who you are when something happen to you ,it can be your passport number depend on which country you from . Singapore passport number is the same as the identity card number.
