  1. My first suggestion would be: GET A BOOK ON GREEK MYTHOLOGY.

    But here you go:

    Nymphs (pl. nymphai) are mythological nature spirits that appear as beautiful young women. They are divided into types:

        * Dryads (forests)

        * Naiads (springs and rivers)

        * Nereid (the Mediterranean)

        * Oceanids (the sea)

        * Oreads (mountains)

        * Limoniads (meadows)

        * Limniads (lakes, marshes and swamps)

        * Napaea (valleys)

  2. They're a mythological creature in human, female form. They usually live around mountains, groves, springs, etc. and generally can or are affected by nature. They're also frequent targets of Satyrs, whom are goat-men.
