  1. A P12 form is the form you need to fill out now to get back any tax you overpaid during 2006. It is available from http://www.revenue.ie - I've put the exact link below. Fill it out and send in to the tax office.

    You will also need your P60 from your employer at the end of 2006 (if you were working) and any P45s you got from previous employers during 2006.

    If you worked for only part of 2006 and you paid PAYE (check the PAYE total on your P60) it's possible that you overpaid tax. On the other hand if you had one employer from Jan - Dec it's less likely that you would have overpaid. Good luck!

This my little friend could be the payment of your sun holiday!!  You ring the tax office and tell them you want to do your return on your P21.  Basically it calculates any discrepancies that there may have been in your taxes over the past 5 years.  You may come in for a couple of hundred quid......beware though.....you may owe them a few bob.
