What is a Paypal ID?

Question

I've been asked by someone for my paypal ID and I gave them the email address that i log into paypal with. Is this correct or is paypal ID something else?

You're correct. Paypal ID is the email address that you use for login.

this process is pretended to increase security and also because most of the time the email address is the same one as used on Ebay (parent company) providing a "connection" between both accounts.

A Paypal ID is your paypal email. There is nothing wrong if someone knows your paypal ID. The only thing they can do with it is send you money.

Don't give anyone your ID. People could potentially defraud you of lots of money. DO BE MORE CAREFUL.

It's the username you use to log into your PayPal account, so more than likely it's the email address you're registered with.
