In child care a Prop Box is a box that you decorate and fill with fun and different ideas. Example: Pick a theme that you want, we will say fireman prop box.  So you decorate your box with a fireman theme, firetruck, ladders etc. Then in the box you put a fire hat, hose, fire gear, play firetrucks, etc. These are fun to make and the children love them.  You can go to your local station to ask for donations, just tell them what you are doing and they will usually give you items to put into your box. A prop box is an instrument used when decorating a room, a stage, a table to help make the "props" used stand out, make the look four-dimensional, etc.  Hope this answers.  Props are anything from flowers to statues to plants, to just about anything being used in the decoration.
