  1. This is your typical keyboard that has the first six letters in the upper left hand corner being QWERTY, thus, it is named that.  It is the most common keyboard, with others being rarely seen if at all.

    QWERTY is the english keyboard whereas AZERTY is a french keyboard.

  6. A QWERTY keyboard is a standard US keyboard, if you look at your keyboard the first row of keys is Q W E R T Y. Thats why people started calling it a qwerty keyboard.

  7. When a  you look on a cell phone for example that has one it is in the same layout as a regular keyboard at your computer. They call it QWERTY cause if you look at a keyboard, the top left where the Q is the next 5 letters are W-E-R-T-Y. Look at a keyboard and you will see.
