  1. The business thats requesting it wants u to send in a PAID envelope, another envelope addressed to yourself with a stamp on it.. then when they send you the stuff you asked for. they shove it in YOUR ENVELOPE and mail it back to you

  2. Get real!

  3. It's an envelope that you send to a person or business that already has a stamp and your address written on it.

This is done so that the person receiving the SASE can return something to you without needing to pay for the postage or taking the trouble to fill out your address.

Some companies are required by law to respond to information requests, so these companies often ask that a SASE be sent to reduce the expense of responding to everyone. For example, companies that do drawings or sweepstakes are required to send the results of the contest when requested.

Also, it is considered good manners to send a SASE when asking someone for a favor such as asking a movie star for his autograph or a teacher for a recommendation.

  4. It just means that the person/business that you are corresponding with does not want the expense of postage and envelopes for their reply. By asking you to supply the envelope, stamp and pre-addressed location to send the reply, they are saving time and money. Once they receive your SASE, they can simply insert whatever you ordered and send it to you, with no expense to them. And yes, you need to send them your letter and request, and include the SASE for their reply.

  5. A envelope with your address on it and a stamp. Sometimes companies and stuff want you to send sase so they can save on postage.
