What is a Smackdown taping?

I heard of someone going to one and I am trying to figure out what it is.

Its the Taping of Smackdown (its not really live) Smackdown is useally taped on a Tuesday but aired on a Friday.

Smackdown unlike Raw isn't live, It is taped on Tuesdays and then aired on TV on Fridays therefore called Friday Night Smackdown.

Every Tuesday night SmackDown! visits a town and people buy tickets for that show, and on that Tuesday they record all the events that happen at SmackDown in one night, then they take the stuff they recorded and play it on TV on Friday night.

That's why people know what happens with spoilers because people post the results online so they don't have to watch on TV they can just read it. Although you cannot do that with RAW because it really is happening while you're watching it.

BUT TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION IT TAKES PLACE ON TUESDAYS AND IT IS THE TAPING OF THE WEEKLY WRESTLING PROGRAM CALLED SMACKDOWN. THE TAPING, OR RECORDING OF THE EVENT, IS THEN BROADCAST ON FRIDAYS TO A WORLDWIDE AUDIENCE. AND ECW IS ALSO TAPED THAT SAME DAY BUT B4 SMACKDOWN IS TAPED.
