  1. A URL is a website.

    www.espn.com is a URL.

    http://answers.yahoo.com is a URL

    Here's some more detail:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/URL

  2. URL stands for " Uniform Resource Locator "  this is to direct addresses put into the address bar to the correct address.

Your modem whether 56 kbs or adsl has one otherwise no one when you sent out info would be able to send back to you

you will have to check modem instruction book to find it

    all have different  ways

this is an address without words but is the same thing

132.234.1.3 yours will be like this not words

  3. URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator it is the domain, folder and file location or address of the file that you want to view.

Unless you have your own website or are running a personal web server you do not have a URL,  you do however have an IP or internet protocol address.

If you want to know what your IP address is go to http://ipchicken.com/

that will show you what your IP address is.
