  1. Hi

This defenition should do it ;-)

A video card, also referred to as a graphics accelerator card, display adapter, graphics card, and numerous other terms, is an item of personal computer hardware whose function is to generate and output images to a display. It operates on similar principles as a sound card or other peripheral devices.

You can get them on ebay and in every shop that sells computer components. One small side note, depending on how old your machine is, you´ll need either a AGP or a PCI or a PCI Express graphikcard.

  2. Video card is an accessory that was installed on your computer in order to view stuffs on your computer's screen, without it, u can't see anything on your computer. It also is an important thing to most of the gamers because nowadays, the graphic technology has gone high, so, has the game's graphic and u need a Video Card with a high capacity to play, if your video card doesn't have a high capacity, u won't be able to play the game (because the windows will eject the game to the Desktop screen).

  3. It is a piece of equipment that adds dedicated video memory and often, performance upgrades, to your hardware.   You can buy them anywhere from Ebay to Best Buy, but Id recommend Newegg for almost anything you need computer related.

  4. A video Card is a piece of hardware that interprets information from you computer and spits it out in a way that your monitor can understand. A video card is usually bought to enhance the video quality of games and other video applications.  You can buy one at your local computer computer store and on craigslist, ebay, amazon, newegg etc. Buying a video card has many benefits. One major benefit is the fact that it performs the tasks that only the cpu and integrated video(video processor on your motherboard) was taking care of. Therefore it can speed up the the computer in many ways including loading web pages and the speed and quality of games. You need to make sure if your computer has an AGP or pci or PCI express slot. a quality video card has 512mb of ram(random access memory) and has DDR3 memory.

Lets say your using a program or viewing a website that has lots of pics and graphics and only your onboard video and the cpu has to do the Job. Loading will be greatly helped out with a video card. Also the cpu usage will drop significantly when you purchase a card. It does alot of work for your computer and since the cpu doesn't have to work so hard it also stays cooler which is very healthy for your computer.
