  1. Some certain jobs require a second language, thats why you should learn a second language.


  2. For your career, for your own knowledge and for fun!

    2) Your touristic experiences will be richer if you know the local language.

    4) It can help you see the world in a different way.

  4. To be able to communicate with speakers of that language.

We are in an increasingly global economy--anything which can give you an edge will help.  China is becoming the economic power of the world, so speaking Mandarin Chinese would help in any business.  More and more Americans speak only Spanish, or it's their first language, so being able to communicate in Spanish is a big help.  Finally, with terrorism on the rise, the CIA and other federal agencies are paying big premiums for Arab-speaking employees.  And if you ever want to travel, knowing at least a little of the native language is helpful.  In an emergency, how would you like it if you ask where the bathroom is, and the person just stares at you blankly?  

  6. 1st off all, its very helpful..

    in terms of job and stuff..

    but also, you can talk to a friend who knows the same language to

    talk about someone who's just in front of you.. haha.. just make sure he/she doesnt understand that language..

    lol.

    and also, learning a new language will help increase your memory...

    plus its funs when you're interested.. like when I was studying spanish, I was all excited to know this word so I could say it already..

    and I spoke to my friends, who dont understand spanish, in Spanish.. they end up getting weirded out.. haha
