  1. Acidophilus is GREAT!!! Everyone should take acidophilus!

It is a healthy and friendly bacteria often found in yogurt but can be taken on it's own.  It is GREAT for the stomache and can help with digestion.

You can get them at any health food store.  Talk to the sales person about what type of dosage you should take.

You can take the capsules on their own or break them open and mix the powder into yogurt or a shake.  Acidophilus has NO side effects and you can take it EVERYDAY! I usually take two a day in the morning with yogurt.

Acidophilus helps prevent infections in your digestion system and keeps you regular.  This is a great thing for you! The acidophilus will help fight the sugars in your body that may be causing your gas or other problems.

Definitly give it a try, it will be helping even without you noticing!!!!!!

  2. I agree with the first answerer. Acidophilus is in a family termed "probiotics" and I highly recommend it. It is not an herb. It is a "friendly bacteria". Basically, its a beneficial bacteria that helps regulate your digestive system (which can help regulate your whole body) There are no adverse effects on taking it.

I had IBS after coming off an anxiety med and regular doses of probiotics finally got me back to normal. For stomach issues, I suggest taking the supplement (I take the "NOW" brand and I'll include the link for it below) on empty stomach 3 times a day. After you see improvements, twice a day is good to keep a healthy, functioning system.

Stress, antibiotics and illness can deplete the beneficial intestinal bacteria you need. Yogurt, Keffir Milk and supplements are all good sources. There are many types of probiotics out there so research for quality.
