  1. My son was not completely trained until he was almost 3 1/2. Don't try to force him because it could take even longer. It is a control thing. This is one thing that they have control over. Also, don't let other people put a time limit on it. I was one of those people who wondered why some mothers did not have their kids potty trained by 2 and take away their pacifiers before they were one, etc. Every parent and every child is different. Now I don't question other peoples parenting.

  2. Some have successfully potty-trained at 18 months.  Most don't even start until after 2 years old though.  My son was weeks away from his 3rd birthday before he was trained.  My daughter is 25 months and already trained.  Every child is different.

  3. I've heard the best time to see that they're ready is when they can hold it through an afternoon nap...my son is adopted and was for the most part potty trained when he came to us so I'm not sure when he actually started...

  4. I started my boys when they were between 2 & 2 1/2 when they came to really be aware of toliets and what they are for. My eldest son still wets the bed and he's 6 and the 4yr old still won't p**p on the potty, so I guess it's not over yet.

  5. its good to start around two years old. as long as you keep on top of it and make the child go often and start using pull ups it will happen sooner but don't be upset if they don't catch on fast my dr said its normal to sometimes have potty training issues until 6 years old. as long as you let your child know to let you know if they feel they have to pee and they know your right there to help with it they learn faster. and when they go in the potty its good to make kinda a big deal and do the potty dance and maybe give them a treat like an ice cream or a toy at the 99 cent store and dont be too upset though when they forget to use the potty. a lot of times when kids are playing is usually when they wait too long to go so its good if you know its been long enough to say okay lets try to go to the potty and make them go when you think they probably can even if they say they don't have to go...lol good luck don't worry too much just be pateint and like i said stay on top of it cause it will be worth it when they have it down. the hardest part is getting them up at like 2am sometimes i let that go so it took longer to get them to learn to get up during the night and go potty if they feel the need to.

  6. When the child starts acting ready.   Try putting a pair of Underware on them and see if they understand wet isnt good.  I would stay away from the pull ups just because its just another kind of diaper.   I started potty training my son last monday with nothing but Underware and asking him every 30 mins or so and well other then the p**p part hes potty trained only 4 tiny accidents.   Still use diapers at night but other then that  yay hes a big boy

    Good luck

  7. really when theyre ready... you shouldnt push a child into potty training... just plant the seed, ask if they need to go potty occassionally throughout the day... and just like i said DO NOT push them! good luck!

  8. Generally around the time they notice that they are wet and tell you that it is time to change them.  My daughter started bringing me diapers and telling me she was wet around 20 months.  Although some children do not mind being wet at all, so 2 years old is a good time to start.

  9. my girl started at 2 1/2 yrs old and didn't get completely trained until she was 3.

  10. anywhere from 18months  to 2  as soon  as  they  show  signs  of  interest  all  kids  are  different  some  will be  easy  to  train  others  will be  more  hard  to  train
