What is a basic way too make a cocktail? what can i mix with vodka to make it easier to drink?

i like drinking and i know that two shots of vodka gets me drunk but its just so nasty! whats an easier way to drink vodka and what should i mix with it? also what is a basic cocktail i can make that is tasty? thanxx! =]]

An easy cocktail is a seabreeze - mix 1/2 and 1/2 cranberry and grapefruit juice. Put vodka and ice in a glass and pour over the juice.

Practically everyone I know started out with screwdrivers:

1 shot of vodka

fill the glass with orange juice

variation: grapefruit juice instead

(grapefruit juice also works with gin instead of vodka)

Vodka is so universal I love it.  simple one try mixing it with a lil sweet and sour.  or make a long island iced tea- vodka, rum, triple sec, gin tequila, and sweet and sour. or a s***w driver oj and vodka. tall red heads are also nice just add vodka pomegranate juice and 7 up

Cocktail Recipe: Lemon Mist  Add to My Drinks

3 shot(s) Vodka  

3 tsp(s) Lemonade Mix  

Fill glass(es) Sierra Mist  

Put Vodka first then Sierra Mist and then 2 spoons of lemonade mix (your choice of brand) over ice and enjoy!

I am not sure why you would want to drink something that you say tastes nasty.  Maybe you should find a drink that you like better.  If you insist on keeping on drinking vodka though, even if you don't like it, I found a site that has a whole bunch of vodka recipes in it.  Hope one of them will help you.

Vodka sour ... vodka with sour mix

cape cod .... vodka with cranberry (but I add ginger ale too)

Vodka with pineapple juice (my favorite)

Actually I can drink my vodka with anyting .... lemonade, ice tea, kool aid, whatever..... but I usually have it with pineapple juice

just chase your vodka with cherry coke and you wont even taste it as it goes down.

vodka is easilly mixed with ANYTHING, any type of soda, or juice, even kool-aid, tonic water, tap water with lemon or lime. Its the easiest liquor to mix.

Vodka mixes well with just about any juice or soda.  I like vanilla flavored vodka with ginger ale.  I also like it with tonic water and a lime, not as sweet of a flavor but good!

Vodka can be mixed with practically anything.  

Go to your local bottle shop and find a fruit flavoured liqueur that you like and make a martini with it.  Usually a 1/1 ratio works well.  Usually.  If you like chocolate (and who doesn't?) get a bottle of Creme de Cacao and do 2 pt vodka to 1 pt Creme de cacao.  Shake over cracked ice and pour into a cocktail glass.  Voila, Chocolate Martini.  Add some Creme de menthe, chocolate MINT martini.  Good stuff.  

Even easier.  Pour some into some orange juice.  Or iced tea.  Get a flavoured vodka and add that to iced tea.  Citrus vodka, raspberry.... orange.... all good with iced tea.
