What is a better exercise swimming or running and which one do you burn more calories?

  1. Swimming is very good for endurance and heart/lung strength. However, on a strictly caloric measure, you would have to swim almost 3 times as long to burn as many calories as you do when running.

    Both are great exercises, but if you're looking for a way to burn calories fast, choose running. Swimming will give you great muscle tone and strength, but it will take longer.

    Running burns more calories because when you swim, you don't have to fight gravity and it takes less of a toll on your body

    If you have a running injury, then swimming would be the better choice
